DEATHRETRO… a new single. A taste of a second album? we reckon it is.

Cult Cumbrian four-piece returns with what is set to be the first single from their second studio album, following on from their debut self-titled LP which saw them gain praise from the likes of Louder Than War: “a genuinely exhilarating experience… It could be argued that Deathretro are the country’s best-kept musical secret”

The new single ‘Belgian Limousine’ comes in the form of hard-hitting electro-driven post-punk, layered with the band’s signature blistering guitar licks and an opening vocal reminiscent of Leonard Cohen, developing stylistically as the track progresses.

About the single, vocalist Kie says…

“I imagined a track to stumble around the bars in Bruges, head firmly in the clouds. The title comes in paying homage to the great Belgian bands we grew up with, (Millionaire, Soulwax, Deus) – a cool groove with an electronic heartbeat, blistering guitar and lyrics that can twist and morph as we slide along this real\unreal world we live in.”
