Devon Thompson releases ‘Straitjacket’, the third offering from the EP ‘Skin’. Devon is definitely top of the pops in her world of dark goth fairytale. In this video she is very comfortable holding a heart in her hand, looks real to me!

The first track on Devon’s Skin EP, she says “Straitjacket” is the fun, psychotic song. “It’s the first sign of ‘having a breakdown,’ so to speak… It’s almost feral, animalistic… I think it’s great to open the EP with because it really sets the tone. It’s not all pretty, not all peaceful. That’s why it’s perfect, because I am already showing my flaws to the world… the open exposed wound that is my art,” the Gibson Guitars-represented artist expounds. Equal parts Siouxsie Sioux, Karen O, and Shirley Manson, Devon embodies the darker side of the dance floor with the upbeat 80’s-goth-esque anthem.
“‘Straitjacket’ was actually the easiest and coolest video to make. We used a friend’s backyard and a soundstage to create the scenery and set the vibe of the video. The crew, who are students from CSUN’s film program, pitched in to help with props and everything else. All in all, it was a great, fun, stress free, and very experimental shoot for everyone, where we got to make our crazy ideas come to life,” describes Devon about the video’s production
