At Last……Freya Beer debut album is here.

It seems to have been a long wait from hearing Freya for the first time a couple of years ago with the release of the single ‘Dear Sweet Rosie’ to her debut album. It’s been worth the wait with ‘Beast’ out now. Freya has a clarity of voice in delivery, a reminder of Grace Slick perhaps. If you have been following Freya there are songs here that are already familiar. The strong catalogue of singles are all here, ‘Dear Sweet Rosie’, ‘Arms Open Wide’, ‘The Calm Before The Storm’ and ‘Siren’. Freya says

”With most of my songs I always tend to take inspiration lyrically from film story plots that I’ve interpreted into my own personal experiences.” she says. “The songs of “Beast” all have elements of empowerment with a gothic undertone. The album takes you on a journey, right from the opening title track (“Beast”) that follows through a euphoric dream of a devilish figure to the closing track of “Put it to the Test”.

‘Beast’ is a fabulous debut, a bit glam, a bit goth. We love it. Check it out, go see Freya Beer on tour soon. Dates below.
