Animal Breakdown release a new track called ‘Almost Lost’

New to us here at Clunk HQ is a band called Animal Breakdown. ‘Almost Lost’ is the latest release from them. Read the blurb, give it a listen.

London’s ANIMAL BREAKDOWN self-release their new single ‘Almost Lost’ on Friday 13th November 2020, distributed by DistroKid.

Almost Lost’ follows up on the success of the band’s third single ‘Night Garden’ released during the height of summer 2020. The London three piece’s latest track offers up a euphoric slice of haunted dream pop. Recorded during a weekend retreat to Brighton the boys united with audio engineer Wynter Prior at the helm known for his remarkable work in the metal scene at AudioBeach Studios. The track delivers a unique cross-over sound of an indie pop sensibility with heavy production stylings. ‘Almost Lost’ offers a romantic twist upon the energetic thrills the band are known for with the track slowing the pace down in favour of space, a foreboding earworm of a bass line, slick hi hat work, ethereal guitars and a climbing tension only overcome by each soaring chorus.

‘Almost Lost’ continues to showcase ANIMAL BREAKDOWN’s flair at uniting enthralling melodies and rich lyrical substance with formidable energy. The song’s subject matter presents a tale with hope at its core. Documenting a tryst between the narrator and another in union against the backdrop of class struggle, an uncertain and unsafe outside world beyond the security of a shared, real, connection. The song paints a picture of innocence pitched against experience and the aching desire to hold onto all precious moments. Born out of the ashes of family tragedy, broken hearts, violence and unemployment brothers in arms Martin Lynch, Josef Mitchell and Marco Nikic formed ANIMAL BREAKDOWN. Delivering their intense and passionate live show to venues across the capital and the rest of the UK their live show is not to be missed.
