The far more up to date, happening and groovy combo that is Fontaines DC played the new album ‘Romance’ at The Boiler Shop in Newcastle last week. How was it? Fontaines DC put on a blistering 45 minutes on the second show of the evening. Grian proved to be a frontman of the highest order, not saying too much, stomping around the stage, gesturing to the punters to take it up a level. The only disappointment was that I could not purchase a Tee shirt because they had sold out on the 7 O’clock gig. Get to see them now before they break up and in 25 years time have a reunion gig that will cost you the Earth! You know it makes sense.
