Hi David, Halison here, thanks! It’s a pleasure 😀
Please introduce the band, who does what etc.
We are a 3 piece band, I play drums+vox, João plays guitar and Tomás holds the groove on bass.
Please describe where you are now. Please give us the time and what you are wearing too.
10:34 am, Lisbon, at home. Very occasional home clothing like adidas pants and camel cigarette t-shirt
How and when did you folks meet?
We’ve met quite long ago, well, João and I have known each other since 2017 (if I’m not wrong) and Tomás was brought by Chaby, a really good friend of ours who also mixed our 1st album.
Denial is a great sound and is our introduction to Maquina. What are you denying yourselves?
ahahahaha thanks! What am I denying? lately, denying more practising on drums x.x
There is an album out in April. It’s called Prata. What can you tell us about it? Will it be out in a physical form?
Yeaa, the album is on the way, it’s a segment from our 1st album, very danceable and noisy, and yes it’ll be out on vinyl via Fuzz Club Records, they’re editing it.
Are you touring Prata and, if so, are you heading to the UK?
Yesss, we’ll be touring PRATA very soon. Our first tour in the EU is with A Place to Bury Strangers, we’re very excited. We have plans to be in the UK in the 2nd semester of this year if everything goes according to plan.
Have you thought about your next video? If you come to the UK I wondered if you might be thinking of an old man pushing a wheelbarrow full of puppies. He’s smoking a cheroot, like Clint, and swigging a bottle of malt whiskey. If so, would you audition me?

What bands, artists that we might not have heard, do you recommend we give a listen.
Well, there’s a bunch of portuguese bands that we’ve spent some time on the road and we really dig it, like: Hetta, Cobrafuma, Conferência Inferno, 800 Gondomar
Do any of you have other talents? For example..spinning plates, cow tipping, or being able to become invisible.
hahahahah Tomás is pretty good at juggling. I think João’s superpower is finding love in simple details and he’s a good dancer. I have one that I can consider a talent. I can do (pretty well) the “whistle” with hands of The Good The Bad and The Ugly. hahhahaa
