The latest Andrew Jim Gannon single from the forthcoming album has that cool air about it, a sort of Scott Walker cool air. We love it. Read some blurb and give the 3 songs below a listen.

With new album ‘Hydrate Those Folds!‘ out June 12th, today Hertfordshire-based producer Andrew Jim Gannon shares the final single from his upcoming record “Animals In The Wild”. Previously releasing music as On Man (Houndstooth), Andrew Jim Gannon steps out from behind the moniker, singing under his own name for the first time and reshaping his electronic background into a more exposed strain of art-pop.

On the song, Andrew Jim Gannon said ‘Animals In The Wild’ starts out as a story of shame and longing, but I hear it as one of the album’s more hopeful moments. It’s about the possibility of another life, and the strange relief of returning to some animal part of yourself that still knows how to survive.”

On the video, he added “For the video I wanted to stay inside the same handmade, slightly damaged world as the other singles, but strip it back to a simple open-air ritual. A figure in red rubber gloves moves through long grass, gathering fluorescent objects from the sky as if they might somehow become the building blocks of another life.”
