Feeling a bit lethargic? Can’t be arsed to get off your backside? This is exactly what you need, the new single from Clutter. It’s high energy from the start, you’ll be jumping around within seconds. For extra fun, tie your shoelaces together! We love it!
Hotly tipped Stockholm-based four-piece, Clutter, today return with their insatiable new single, “GirlVsHeart” via PNKSLM Recordings.
Already building a reputation as one of Scandinavia’s most exciting new guitar bands, Clutter have toured the UK with Hinds, appeared at Pitchfork Music Festival London and Eurosonic Noorderslag, and earned praise from the likes of Stereogum, BBC 6 Music, DIY,Dork, and NME, who selected them as the only Scandinavian act featured in the NME 100 for 2026.
Speaking about the track, the band said: “GirlVsHeart” is a loud and all-consuming rock song. It’s a heavy-hitting, almost arena rock like song about love. The contrast between the lyrical topic and the sound and attitude creates a feeling of urgency that pierces straight through the heart”.
Made up of 21 and 22-year-olds Hilda Ander, Emma French, Ove Jerndal and Ville Scott, Clutter channels the spirit of grunge and post-hardcore through distorted guitars, fuzzy melodies, and explosive dynamics. Blending the raw energy of ‘90s alternative rock with a sharp, modern indie sensibility, the band thrive in the tension between chaos and control.
