Kit Major has a new EP out on June the 12th. This is the title track, ‘Miss Ego’.
Kit Major knows what she wants and she knows how to get it. The Los Angeles rock and roll firecracker has been building towards the release of her new EP, Miss Ego, due for release June 12th via Futureless.
Miss Ego explores identity, femininity, and how much space a woman is allowed to take onstage, in relationships, in the rock scene and in the world. The project was born out of a writer’s block: choosing between two different songs built around the same idea,“there’s no room in bed for Miss Ego.” That statement became the foundation of the EP.
Today, Major shares the EP’s title track, “Miss Ego” a track that feels like pure punk energy — attitude, grit, and defiance.
“Miss Ego is a sleek and cheeky song about how much space a girl can take up in relationships, on stage, and her place in the world,” Major explains.
