Annie-Claude Deschênes brings her singular live show to the UK this October, blurring the line between performance art and concert with a set that is as playful as it is uncompromising. The tour kicks off in Todmorden on 11 October before heading across the UK, with dates in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Preston, London, Bournemouth, Southampton, Manchester, Leeds and Birkenhead, wrapping up in Coventry on 24 October.
A long-standing figure in Montreal’s independent scene and former frontwoman of cult outfits Duchess Says and PyPy, Deschênes has carved out a solo path rooted in dystopian techno, minimal pop and electronic experimentation. Her debut album, LES MANIÈRES DE TABLE, out now via Bonsound and Italians Do It Better, turns social codes and table manners inside out, while her live performance adds a deliciously chaotic touch — think club music, theatrical precision and a few dollops of whipped cream.
