Here’s a thumbs up around the DeClunk HQ table. The new single from Concrete Vehicles is ‘Cut Ties’. There’s a tour, dates below.

Concrete Vehicles (formerly Computer) is a five-piece band from Vancouver that began as a recording project between lifelong friends Hudson Schelesny and Ben Lock, who have been making music together since they were kids growing up in Tsawwassen, BC. As their recordings became increasingly chaotic and nuanced, they outgrew the limitations of a traditional live band, inspiring them to expand the project into a larger ensemble.

Now a five-piece, Concrete Vehicles transforms their songs through a wide palette of instrumentation including saxophone, synthesizers, and percussion. Drawing from the diverse musical backgrounds, the band’s sound finds common ground between ’90s post-punk and hardcore pioneers like Drive Like Jehu and Dog Faced Hermans, alongside the abrasive experimentation of contemporary acts such as Death Grips and YHWH Nailgun. While their influences span countless genres, their creative process is united by a shared pursuit of music that feels immediate, physical, and visceral.

The band recently shared their new single, “Cut Ties”, out now via Dine Alone Records, and have announced a run of UK and European live dates this summer. The tour includes festival appearances at All Points East, Reeperbahn, Leffingeleuren and Platzhirsch, alongside headline shows in London, Southampton, Manchester, Bristol, Coventry, Nottingham, Edinburgh and Gateshead.
