The new album from Boy Harsher is out. There’s a catchy new single too as well as a shedload of dates.
Boy Harsher, the duo of Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller, releases their new album ‘GET MEAN’ today via Atlantic Records, and share a new video. The release comes as the band set out on their North American headline tour, before heading to Europe for a long string of dates at the end of this year.
‘GET MEAN’ is a meditation on love, loss, and survival. Across the 12 tracks of the record, the band confront grief and heartbreak head-on, tracing the difficult process of moving through loss and discovering a path toward renewal. At its core, ‘GET MEAN’ is a redemption album – a document of one of life’s most painful chapters and the strength found on the other side of it.
‘GET MEAN’ includes the track “Faulty,” which arrives with a music video, today, shot on 35mm and directed by Boy Harsher with cinematography from Owen Smith Clark. In the final installment of visuals for ‘GET MEAN’, Boy Harsher returns to the wood panelled space with a series of characters alone, or alone together, dancing through their heartbreak. The video follows previous singles “Jeans”,“Hard Beat” and “Tough Luck (when you don’t call)”, all of which also arrived with visuals directed and created by the band.
