Here’s a new track from Sheherrazaad. It’s another cracker. It’s called ‘Registaan’. We are looking forward to the debut album ‘Khudgarzi’ out November 20th on Erased Tapes. There is also a tour coming up in January.
“‘Registaan’ is based in a crass desertland wherein really lonely women emerge,” Sheherazaad explains. “These girls attempt to begin life, where life goes to die. The wilderness of feminine solitude. Brutality as a soothing hymn.”
As with previous singles, “Pakeezah” and “Andhera”, “Registaan” is accompanied by a Vincent Moon-directed video, featuring Sheherazaad and her ensemble performing the song in a subversive live arrangement, filmed at Erased Tapes’ London studio.
